Brief Introduction of the Association
The Association of the Boards of Management of Aided Chinese Primary Schools Kuching-Samarahan Division was granted approval for registration from the Registrar of Societies on 12.12.83. It was formally established in the year 1984.
The aims of the Association are as follows:
1. To unite the boards of management of the aided Chinese
primary schools in the first division for promoting the
development of the Chinese education.
2. To research and improve any matters regarding the development and improvement of the aided Chinese primary schools in the first division.
3. To provide assistance & guidance to any individual member for the proper running of its board.
4. To act as a consulting organization for the education ministry and the education department in order to improve the education of Chinese primary schools in Kuching-Samarahan Division, Sarawak.
The present President of the Association is Temenggong TAN MENG CHONG, its honorary Secretary is Mr SHIA SWEE WANG and the honorary Treasurer is Mr LEE KHIM SIN.
At the moment, the Association has 56 members.
