General Instructions


The procedure of email application:-

1. Fill in the form

2. The completed form has to be sent to register@ace.cdc.abu.com

3. ABU shall forward the application to the 
	1. proposer
        2. 1st seconder
        3. 2nd seconder

4. The proposer and seconders have to forward the applications
   back to ABU. This is to ensure that 
	1. the proposer and seconders have valid email addresses.
        2. the proposer and seconders have vetted the information stated
           in applications is true.
  
5. after receiving the forwarded 'applications' from the proposers 
   and seconders. ABU shall sent the proposer an email which contain
   the password and full email account.

6. For personal users where the fee is charged at US$4.80. The 
   applicants has 30 days to pay up. Payment in the form 
   bank draft should be crossed and made payable to
   "Central Data Centre"  and sent to
      Central Data Centre
      Lot. 4.19B,
      Wisma Saberkas
      93150 Kuching
      Malaysia.
   
  If payment were not received 60 days after activation of account,
  The account may be suspended.

Applicant's Particulars
-----------------------

1a. The applicant's name in full is to be filled here.

1b. The applicant's first choice of email address. An address can be
	8 characters in length, characters and numbers and '-'
        are accepted.
	e.g. jacob, j-smith, alex-16

1c. The applicant second choice of email address. We try to accomodate
	your primary choice as much as possible. In the event that 
	we have exhausted the sub-domain names, we may have to use
 	you secondary choice.

1h.  The charges for the categories are as follows:-
     student : free
     personal : US$4.80 per year
     Organisation : irrespective of commercial or 
                    non-profit organisiton, the first
                    email account is free. Subsequent accounts
                    are classified as personal accounts.


2a.  Date of Birth
     Enter the date in the format yyyy.mm.dd
     e.g. 1957.08.31
     This field is meant for student account.
     ABU's definition of student is a person who is doing a full time study
     in an academic institution. Only students who are 25 years old and
     below are qualified for student category. There is no charge for
     students.


2b. Name of the school

3a. The proposer may be the same as the applicant. This is for
	those who want to apply for an additional email address.


3b. fill in the valid email address of the proposer.
	The assigned password shall be sent to the proposer.


4a. 1st seconder's name.
4b. 1st seconder's email address.
	ABU shall sent a copy of application form to the seconder.
	The seconder, after vetting that the information about the
        applicant, shall forward the mail to ABU for further
	processing. 

5a. 2nd seconder's name

5b. 2nd seconder's email address.
	ABU shall sent a copy of application form to the seconder.
	The seconder, after vetting that the information about the
        applicant, shall forward the mail to ABU for further 
	processing.
